Coming soon to Silverflow : Apple Tap To Pay

Apple Tap to Pay is a feature that lets merchants in the EU accept contactless payments directly on their iPhone (iPhone XS or later) using a partner-enabled iOS app, without needing any extra card-reader hardware. It works with contactless credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, and other digital wallets via built-in NFC technology, and transactions are secured with Apple’s encryption such that sensitive card data isn’t stored on the device or seen by Apple.

For EU merchants, this brings several benefits:
• Lower cost and complexity
• Increased flexibility
• Enhanced security

Overall, Apple Tap to Pay reduces barriers for accepting in-person payments and can help EU merchants modernise their checkouts without extra hardware or complicated setup. We're building this capability for availabity to our clients in 2026!

PAR (Payment Account Reference) is now available on our API

PAR is a unique, non-sensitive identifier assigned to a card account (PAN) that stays consistent across all tokens and virtual card numbers tied to that account. It cannot be used to make payments, but it can be stored and used to link activity across payment credentials without storing PAN data.

One of the main business use cases is to help in unifying customer identity across tokens. Why?
Problem: With tokenisation (e.g., Apple Pay, Google Pay, network tokens) merchants/acquirers can see multiple different identifiers for what is actually the same card account-complicating loyalty, analytics, and returns.

PAR Solution: A consistent account reference allows systems to recognise that: a purchase with one token and a refund with another belong to the same account; and a physical card and all its tokens are linked to one customer record.

The Business benefit: Better customer experience (e.g., seamless returns) and consolidated reporting without exposing sensitive PAN data.

Silveflow now exposes the PAR in our authorizationIsoFields in the 201 response to the https://docs.silverflow.com/apidocs/latest/index.html#tag/Create-Charges/operation/createCharge.

Live in the Philippines

We're excited to announce that Silverflow has successfully taken another acquirer live, this time in the Philippines. We are now fully operational in the region with Visa and Mastercard. To ensure we meet specific local requirements, we have also implemented specialized local interchange fee programs as part of this launch.

South East Asia remains a key growth region for Silverflow. With live acquirers already established in Singapore, Thailand, and now the Philippines, we are continuing to expand our footprint. We look forward to adding further connections in 2026, including Malaysia. Please let your Silverflow representative know if you would like more details on our capabilities in these markets.

Discover is live in USA

In further card acceptance expansion at Silverflow, we're delighted to share that Silverflow continues to expand our global card acceptance capabilities. We are officially live in the United States on the Discover Global Network, providing full support for both e-commerce and point-of-sale transactions.

Some Stats about Discover Global Network:

  • Discover is the fourth major credit card network in the U.S., after Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.

  • It holds roughly 2–5% of U.S. credit card purchase volume.

  • In 2023, Discover handled approximately $589 billion in U.S. purchase volume, growing about 7% year-over-year.

  • Discover serves over 51 million cardholders worldwide.

  • Following their acquisition by Capital One, one of the largest US issuers, the network is expected to grow.

As we look ahead, we remain committed to further broadening our coverage throughout the USA and Canada over the coming year. Please let us know if you would like to discuss how these new capabilities can support your current or upcoming projects.
